IPX connects every project launched on the IPX platform. Its supply is capped at 1,000,000,000 and can never grow or shrink: the contract has no mint and no burn.
It is not a fee token bolted on top. Projects raise, graduate and trade using IPX.
Every purchase on a project's primary market and every secondary swap goes through the IPX Router. That flow strengthens the IPX/USDC pool instead of leaving it as a private fee.
Each project raises USDC for production and IPX for its liquidity. The IPX is collected from participants during the raise, never created by the protocol, and pairs with the project's own token to open its market.
After a project graduates, its token trades against IPX, so IPX is the common unit across every project market.
IPX stakers can claim a share of what the Protocol Vault receives. It varies with activity and there is no guaranteed return.
A creator who needs $100,000 to produce a film is a good example.
They state the production budget they need, here $100,000. The platform approves the project and fixes the terms of its raise.
Buyers pay in USDC. Each purchase is routed through IPX, and the raise is collected partly in USDC and partly in IPX.
$100,000 goes to a milestone escrow, never to the creator directly, and a 10% platform fee ($10,000) goes to the Platform Treasury.
The IPX collected during the raise is paired with the project's own tokens to open its market, priced in IPX.
The escrow pays out only against approved production milestones. Not every project reaches graduation: if it does not, or if the creator defaults, the protocol has refund and recovery mechanisms for buyers.
All of the supply is created once, at Genesis, and sent to the holders below. Tokens for the team and investors sit in on-chain vesting vaults.
| Category | Share | IPX | Held by | Release terms |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Team & core contributors | 31.87% | 318,700,000 | On-chain vesting vaults, one per person | 12-month cliff, fully vested at month 36. |
| Treasury & operations | 20% | 200,000,000 | Foundation multisig | Operating reserve, spent at the Foundation's discretion. No on-chain lock-up. |
| Ecosystem: grants, partnerships & bounties | 14% | 140,000,000 | Ecosystem Fund multisig | Paid out over time as grants and bounties are awarded. No on-chain lock-up. |
| Investors | 12.9% | 129,000,000 | On-chain vesting vaults, one per investor | 12-month cliff, fully vested at month 36. |
| Reserved for future rounds | 9.23% | 92,300,000 | Foundation multisig | Not yet allocated. Held until a future round is defined and disclosed. |
| Advisors & service providers | 7.5% | 75,000,000 | Foundation multisig | Paid to advisors and service providers as engagements are signed. Includes one service-provider grant that follows the release schedule set in its agreement. |
| Community: public sale & airdrop | 4.5% | 45,000,000 | Interim multisig, then distribution contracts | Public sale (1%) through a third-party sale platform and community airdrop (3.5%) claimable after the market launch. Terms to be announced. |
| Total | 100% | 1,000,000,000 | ||
These figures are the current plan and become final at Genesis, when every address is published and verified on Basescan. Tokens held by a multisig are not locked on-chain: they are controlled by a multi-signature wallet and spent according to the purpose in the table.
Three separate streams, kept apart on purpose. Fees that pay for running the platform are not what stakers can claim.
Comes from
0.5% router fee on IPX routing; 10% cashout fee on the creator's production goal at graduation; 15% of every Protocol Vault transfer; 15% of secondary-pool trading fees.
Goes to
The company that operates the protocol, to fund infrastructure, compliance, milestone review and development.
Comes from
Lending yield earned on idle presale USDC, and trading fees on the protocol-owned IPX/USDC position.
Goes to
85% to IPX stakers and 15% to the Platform Treasury, in each asset.
Comes from
85% of the trading fees of a graduated project's secondary pool.
Goes to
Stakers of that project's token. 15% goes to the Platform Treasury.
Staking weight rises with the length of the lock-up: a locked position has a larger share than a flexible one. Exact multipliers will be published when staking opens and may be updated by the platform multisig behind a 48-hour timelock.
IPX is created once, 1,000,000,000 in total, and sent to the containers listed above. A distribution contract only executes if the allocation adds up to exactly 100%. There is no market and no price yet.
An IPX/USDC pool opens on Aerodrome, the community airdrop becomes claimable, and IPX gets a market price set by the pool. Dates will be announced.
Once the pool is deep enough and IPX has a reliable price feed, creators can open project markets that use IPX as described below.
No. The maximum supply is 1,000,000,000 and the contract has no mint function. There is also no burn function, so supply neither grows nor shrinks after Genesis.
No. Stakers claim a share of what the Protocol Vault actually receives, weighted by their stake. If the vault receives nothing in a period, the transfer is zero. Longer lock-ups increase a staker's weight; they do not promise a return.
No. IPX does not represent equity or profit participation in the company that operates the platform, and it does not carry on-chain governance votes.
Project launches keep working whatever IPX trades at. A lower IPX price raises the amount of IPX a project needs to collect, which can delay that project's graduation. That is a project outcome, not a protocol failure.
The token, distribution and vesting contracts are published and verified on Basescan at Genesis, and their addresses will be listed on this page.
